You can make this salmon on the grill or in the oven. Either method works perfectly well. Just don’t forget to soak the ceder planks in the water for at least an hour.

Steps

1
Done

Soak a cedar plank in salted water at least for 1 hours, then drain.

2
Done

Marinate

In a small bowl whisk soy sauce, honey, chopped garlic, green onion and ginger. Use a fine grater to shave zest from a lemon. To make it easier do the zesting right over the bowl. Then squeeze the lemon juice. Mix all ingredients well.

3
Done

Rinse the salmon under cold running water and pat dry with paper towels. Marinate salmon for an hour.

4
Done

Preheat the oven to 380 degrees or heat a grill to the same temperature.

5
Done

Place salmon on cedar plank and cook it for 30 minutes or until it is done. Remove plank from heat source and use spatula to gently remove salmon from cedar plank or you can just serve the salmon on the plank.
